Live #137 & Variety Events Return

This week, we broadcast our 137th episode of Gensokyo Radio Live, plus variety events by the station staff return. For more details, read on!

Live #137 saw all four staff members together once again for a fun show filled with our newest music, fan game info, and station news. We touched on the topic of Gensokyo Radio’s presence at the upcoming TouhouFest event in April where we’ll have a space for attendees to learn more about our station and the many artists we help to promote and support. We also talked about our recent work behind the scenes where we’ll be switching the station’s scheduler to a new system in the near future. We’re also rearchitecting the system to reduce computational load on edge servers and provide a smoother experience for listeners in all of our network’s regions. This will start rolling out in the next week or two.

Variety Events made their return this week starting with development streams via Twitch. Variety Events started in March 2022 as an off-platform series that initially focused on primarily gaming and hangouts with the community, with LunarSpotlight and DMJ654 participating. The series went on hiatus in early 2023 due to an increased workload at the time, but is now returning as an additional stream of regularly scheduled content. We’ll add these to scheduled events to start out with, but the best way to keep up with events will be to follow individual channels on their respective platforms.
